Sometimes I have a look on ebay to see if there are any cheap playsets for sale to use for funny decks. Well I found two nice ones both colored blue, so I decided to put them together in one deck just for fun. I’m talking about Leyline of Singularity and Cowardice. Both cards are very annoying, so my opponents didn’t like it much when I was playing with this deck.
They key word of Cowardice is: “Target”, so I thought, what would be the easiest way to target a creature without having to cast a spell every single time. An Simple “tap target creature” ability would work, so an Icy Manipulator for example was an easy choice. Another card which is also the worse enemy of a small creature deck, is Prodigal Sorcerer. Now instead of killing creatures with a toughness of one, the prody can shoots the biggest creatures of the table how nice is that?
Talking about small creatures, what if someone is playing around with an army of tokens? This person won’t be too happy when you put a Leyline of Singularity on table later on in the game.
Even if I got the Leyline in my opening hand I love to save it for later as a surprise.
If single targeting is fast enough, Lorthos, the Tidemaker will do 8 permanents at once. If you manage to use it there, will be a big change of winning. There are some bigger/better mass targeting spells around, but I didn’t own any.
